A Great Summer Reading List for Kids

Today is the birthday of John Newbery. John Newbery was the first bookseller and publisher to make children’s books a specialty. He was born July 19, 1713. The American Library Association awards the Newbery Medal annually to outstanding children’s books.

Summertime is a wonderful time to explore and enjoy a new book with your children. If you haven’t been to the library lately, then it’s time to visit and check out one of these great Newbery Award Winners.
